Bespoke Media Walls & Entertainment Centres

A media wall turns your television and everything around it into a single, tidy feature. We design and build bespoke entertainment walls with hidden cabling, display shelving and storage, all made to measure for your living room.

What Is a Media Wall?

A media wall is a built-in unit that houses your TV, sound system and media kit within a single designed feature, usually with a recessed or wall-mounted screen. Cables, boxes and consoles are tucked neatly out of sight.

The result is a proper focal point for the room: warm, tidy and finished, with room to display the things you love alongside the technology you use every day. Most media walls are built between 150mm and 300mm deep, which is enough to recess the screen, route the cabling and fit an electric fire.

Concealed cabling

Wires, boxes and consoles hidden away for a clean, clutter-free finish.

Mood & accent lighting

Integrated LED lighting to set the scene and highlight display shelving.

Electric fireplaces

A built-in electric fire below the screen for a cosy, modern centrepiece.

Display & storage

Open shelving and closed cabinets for books, ornaments and everyday media.

Panelling & texture

Slatted or panelled backdrops that add depth and character to the wall.

Made to measure

Sized precisely to your room, chimney breast or alcove for a seamless fit.

Why Choose a Bespoke Media Wall?

A media wall does more than hold your television. These are the benefits our customers mention most.

  • Hides cables, plugs and boxes for a clean, uncluttered wall
  • Frees up the floor space a TV unit would take, so the room feels larger
  • Combines warmth, storage and a focal point in one built-in feature
  • Builds display niches and lighting in, rather than buying them separately
  • Is made to measure, so it suits your room, your screen and your style
  • Handcrafted and fitted by our own North West team, with a 10-year guarantee

Media Wall FAQs

Can you build a media wall around a chimney breast?

Yes. Chimney breasts and their alcoves are a natural home for a media wall, and we design around them so everything fits perfectly.

Will my cables and boxes be hidden?

Yes. Concealing cabling, consoles and boxes is one of the main reasons people choose a media wall, and we plan it all into the design.

Can you put an electric fire in a media wall?

Yes. An inset electric fire is one of the most popular features. It needs no flue, and we build in the heat gap the fire manufacturer specifies, usually around 300mm below the television.

How deep does a media wall need to be?

Most media walls are between 150mm and 300mm deep. That gives enough room to recess the screen, route the cables and fit an electric fire, while keeping the wall from crowding the room.

Can a media wall include a soundbar and games console?

Yes. We build in ventilated space and hidden cable routes for a soundbar, console, streaming box and speakers, with access points so everything stays easy to reach.

Do media walls work in small living rooms?

Yes. A shallow media wall of around 150mm frees up the floor a TV unit would use, hides the clutter and helps a small room feel calmer and more spacious.
